Introduction
At Sherpa Bookkeeping, our approach is simple: clear analytics, practical advice, and guidance over glory. Our role is to maintain accurate financial records and provide insights that help reveal what matters most in your business.
This agreement outlines the services we will provide, our shared responsibilities, and the terms of our engagement so expectations are clear from the outset.
01 Letter of Engagement
Thank you for choosing Sherpa Bookkeeping to support your business.
This Agreement outlines the terms of our engagement and the services we will provide. This Agreement continues until terminated in writing.
Scope of Services
Sherpa will provide bookkeeping and/or advisory services as selected by you and outlined in the following packages.
Services include:

Bank, credit card and loan reconciliations

Accounts payable and receivable management

Payroll processing and compliance
-
BAS/IAS preparation and lodgement (as a registered BAS Agent)

Superannuation processing
-
Management reporting
-
General ledger maintenance
-
Year-end support and liaison with your tax agent
Services outside the agreed package will be quoted separately or may require a tier upgrade. Sherpa may use cloud-based and AI-assisted systems to deliver services efficiently.

Provide timely, accurate and complete information

Maintain responsibility for business decisions and compliance obligations

Ensure all records supplied are correct
Sherpa Responsibilities

Perform services with due care, skill and confidentiality

Comply with relevant laws, including the Tax Agent Services Act

Maintain professional and ethical standards

Communicate promptly regarding issues or requirements
Fees & Payment Terms

Hourly rate: $90 per hour (additional services, clean-up work, client setup)
Payment Terms

Invoices payable within 7 days

Services may be suspended for overdue accounts
Software subscriptions (e.g., Xero, Dext)

Are billed separately unless otherwise stated.
Software & Third Parties
Sherpa may recommend or facilitate software integrations but is not responsible for third-party system failures or outages.
Termination
Either party may terminate this Agreement with 30 days’ written notice. Immediate termination may occur for non-payment, breach, or misconduct. Outstanding fees remain payable upon termination.
Confidentiality
All client information will be kept confidential unless disclosure is required by law or authorised by the Client.
Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law:

Liability is limited to fees paid in the preceding 3 months

Sherpa is not liable for indirect or consequential losses
Sherpa is not responsible for penalties resulting from incomplete or incorrect client information.
Professional Standards & Variations
Sherpa provides bookkeeping and advisory services only and does
not provide audit, taxation, legal or financial product advice unless
agreed in writing.
Service tiers may be varied with 30 days’ written notice.

Your Monthly Service Fee would be: per month
This fee is based on the current transaction volume and scope discussed. Final pricing may be adjusted if the transaction volume materially changes.
Software subscriptions (such as Xero or rostering systems) are additional where applicable.
